In our group of 3, 2 of us are meat eaters and 1 a veggie and since we were in Kobe, the land of steak, we were worried we wouldn't be able to find anywhere for our one friend to eat. Luckily we stumbled upon this place, so after 2/3 of us has a Kobe steak dinner we came here for our other friends dinner and some dessert and tea. Everything here was phenomenal. The desserts we had (carrot cake, walnut cake, and cheesecake) were all so good that we all had a hard time picking a favourite. And when we did pick a favourite we all picked a different one! The drinks were also fantastic, I had an elderberry tea and my friend had a non-caffeine latte made out of dandelion root which was very tasty too. Overall we loved our meal here and would...

Hands down the best meal I've had in Japan, up there with my all time favourites. Being a vegetarian in Japan is challenging most of the time - but the Yidaki Cafe is an oasis in the desert. It serves delicious veggie food in a Japanized style, lovingly prepared and presented. No sugary syrups or overpowering sauces, just honest, high quality food. The menus are hand written in both Japanese and English, including adorable illustrations. Everything is vegetarian; vegan items (which are most of them) are clearly labelled (and the staff even checked when I ordered a non-vegan item). Really nice setting too, on the second floor with quiet music and lots of plants - removing you physically and mentally from the bustle of...

We had a good little vegan lunch here. The hummus baguette was very nice (though I would have perhaps liked a bit more hummus in it!) as was the soy yoghurt that it came with, and the set lunch plate was enjoyed too, with a good variety of bits and pieces. The drinks were a little bit of a let down, with a slightly burnt tasting dandelion coffee (or does it always taste like that?) and a coffee that I’m sure may well have been nice black but didn’t seem to go well with the oat milk. Overall though, a very pleasant lunch! A nice atmosphere too, with a bit more buzz than some other vegan places (which can sometimes feel a...

An amazing vegetarian oasis in a city of Kobe beef. A quirky atmosphere, mixing comfort with nostalgic decor. They have two types of dinner plates, which were a great mix of a variety of foods. Items on the plate ranged from salad, tofu, peppers, okra and lentils to fried onion/corn/potato fritters and curry. A well balanced dinner for a starving vegetarian traveler. Dessert banana cake and carrot cake need refinement. Natural white wine was great and I would come back and recommend to others!
