Pretty basic Japanese ‘business hotel’ to the high standard of cleanliness and comfort in small spaces found in the country.||||Booked on Asia Miles. Could be the reason they switched us to a lower quality room (see below)||||THE BAD||||ESCALATOR ONLY FROM GROUND TO LOBBY. No elevator. WHAT A PAIN with lots of luggage and kids’ stroller in and out for a few days.||||THE SAME BREAKFAST EVERYDAY so I recommend not to get it included with the room if you’re staying a few days. Not good for people who want western breakfast but somewhat interesting for people who want to try some Japanese breakfast foods at a very basic quality level. ABSOLUTELY CRAP COFFEE but luckily they have very good free coffee in the hotel lobby. I filled a thermos and took it to the restaurant.||||STAFF NICE ENOUGH BUT WE HAD A VERY POOR CHECK IN EXPERIENCE including them not having the room type we booked and that was even after confirming our booking by phone. Earnest effort to rectify problems, but not really that apologetic and no compensation offered. Details below.||||1) We arrived at 8pm. Long day, tired. We were sent to park in the hotel’s building. We drive around the 1 way streets to get there. The hotel parking was full. The attendant was very rude. You think like why the hell does the front desk staff not know the parking is full!? Have to drive back around to the front of of the hotel and unload the family in the lobby, actually not the lobby, at the bottom of an escalator leading to the lobby as from ground floor to the lobby there is no elevator. The staff gave directions to alternative parking a few blocks away. Drove around trying to find it. Frustrating as hell! It’s also 2500 yen compared with the hotel parking at 1800 yen and no compensation offered by the hotel for the mistake, hassle or expense. Had to go get the car and move it to the hotel parking the next day.||||2) Finally got to the room. It had no bathtub. We booked a room with a bathtub. We have kids that need a baths on our 3 night stay. Up and down the elevator to check some other rooms offered with bathtubs because clearly they had no rooms left of the type we booked. Finally we get settled. Find out later the room we got is lower level room than the one we booked. No compensation offered.||||THE GOOD||||Good level of English for those who speak English but not Japanese.||||Great Location near the station and lots of restaurants and shopping. Seemed better than the Motomachi area. Lots of ‘girlie’ clubs too so the high heeled police ladies and bunny girls are out on the sidewalks at night advertising their clubs. Good or bad depending on how closed minded and conservative you are. Pretty standard for Japanese cities though and not a seedy or threatening feel, that is unless you are closed minded and conservative.||||Great free coffee in the lobby.||||Very clean and well maintain building and room.||||THE VERDICT||||Would I stay again? In the area? Definitely. In the hotel? I wouldn’t go out of my way to try to book this hotel again, like it missed the chance to be my ‘go to hotel’ in Kobe but if it was the best deal in the area at the time, I’d probably book again. Will definitely prebook parking and triple confirm my...
Read moreClean hotel and well located in Kobe close to Sannoyima JR Station as well as the Sannoyima subway station. So if you’re coming by train be sure to get off on Sannoyima station.
Though you can use the subway train to travel around close by, I found you can easily walk to certain areas of Kobe like Chinatown and Kobe’s wharf and parks. Behind b Kobe is a nice little shrine.
Check in is 3pm but if you get in earlier hotel staff will store your bags so you can go get something to eat which there are many restaurants nearby. There’s a big Lawson’s across the street.
I stayed in a room on the 9th floor and it had a queen sized bed so their rooms are slightly larger than the average business hotels in the same price range.
It’s a modern hotel with newer fixtures and fast WiFi.
And there are restaurants below like Thai, Italian and bar and grill, show your room key card and you get 10% discount.
It’s a nice hotel with good service and the location is great for food and...
Read moreA well-rounded 3-star establishment, most guests choose it for its excellent location. The location is fantastic, being close to stations, restaurants, and major shopping areas.||Facilities: The room amenities are typical for a 3-star hotel. The lighting is subpar, with only a few low-wattage bulbs and limited natural daylight. However, I was impressed with the strong water pressure, and the reception staff's proficiency in English was notable.||Food: The breakfast buffet was great, and we truly enjoyed it due to the wide selection of homemade dishes.||Cleanliness: The cleanliness level is excellent, much better than expected compared to other three-star hotels in countries like the UK/EU.||In summary, the location is fabulous, with two Seven-Eleven stores just around the corner and plenty of restaurant choices, as well as well-known shopping...
