Trattoria San Vito is an Italian restaurant with a farm-to-table dining experience. The building, the former Nishimura residence, is a remodeled historic home that's over 100 years old.

The chef sources local, seasonal ingredients to craft incredible course meals. Frequently in Japan I see "Italian" cuisine with heavy Japanese influence, but this is the real deal. The chef tells me he trained for several years in Italy.

The food is absolutely exquisite, and I was blown away by the wine selection. The attention to detail in each dish was incredible.

Dinner was amazing! After a week of traditional Japanese meals, it was a refreshing change to enjoy quality Italian cuisine in Kosa. The ingredients were unbelievably fresh and all from around the region. Food was so deceptively simple but so good. The waitress and chef were very hospitable and tried their best to explain every dish in English - we understood them perfectly. It was a delightfully quiet and intimate dining room (perfect for a date!) but they were also very accommodating of my 3 year old and even provided him with a kids menu.
