Blanket Donuts recently opened in Kumamoto. I went on the morning of the opening and expected a line. The line moved somehow quickly. The shop is tiny and only a few customers can fit in. They have a nice selection of donuts. I picked the classic glazed for 290 yen and the chocolate glaze for 350. The first thing I noticed was that the kitchen only has a freezer. It's not a donut shop kitchen. I asked the staff and they told me that the donuts were made somewhere else. Are they made in Kumamoto or another prefecture? I don't know. I ate the donuts sitting on a bench nearby. It did not have that fresh feeling and the chocolate glaze was not shiny like it was freshly glazed. It is not a bad donut, but it's definitely not what I was expecting. For that price I would expect more. As much as I wish, this might me a one visit kind of deal.

クリーム系とクラシックグレーズのドーナツを購入。価格は3〜400円くらい。生地がしっかりしっとり柔らかく、噛むとモチモチしていてとても美味しいです。

生地にこだわりがあられるだけあって、最近流行りの中まで油が染みて油っぽくて甘くて高いだけ...
