Katsuretsutei Higashi Bypass Hotakubo — Restaurant in Kumamoto

My review for this restaurant is for both the food and its extremely helpful staffs I would like to take some time to thank and commend.

First, the pork cutlet rice was really good and the variety of sauces available were amazing - we managed to mix and try different type of combinations and found our favourite sauce to go with the tender pork cutlet! It was a good meal!

And the staffs - I want to thank and commend both ひらつか San and さとう San for their help and kindness. After the meal, our vehicle experienced some technical issues at the car park behind the shop, and we approached Hiratsuka and Sato San for help to call for emergency service. Both of them went above and beyond in helping us to call and communicate with the tow company for close to 30mins. A very popular shop in Kumamoto, def a must try. This branch opened up a month ago, and the service was super good. Even the owner came out serving customers presenting utmost super good service. we ordered their supreme pork set, the roast and Hire style (ひれ　and ロース) the miso soup was super good, it had a lot of stuff in it compared to other usual teishoku miso soups. Cabbage, miso soup, rice is all-you-can-eat. Small dishes came with the meal, I would really appreciate if I got the option of having no spring onions on the radish. Because I would just take it off and it goes to waste. this TON-KATSU restro "KATSU-RETSU-TEI`group has 4 branches within Kumamoto City.

personally, most recommended branch is 勝烈亭 南熊本店 South Kumamoto branch. very calm atmosphere and really delish compared to other locations.

second recommendable location is this East roadside HOTAKUBO branch. very cheerful atmosphere here.

only on weekdays, "weekday menu" available.

if you prefer "thick" "thick" TONKATSU, i recommend you to choose ｢厚切り｣one on regular menu.

need to order TONKATSU via tablet PC at each table.
