Kitagawa Tenmeidou is a shop you must visit if you are in the area for dessert lovers. Wagashis, beautifully crafted into seasonal motifs, entices the eyes first then swiftly melts in your mouth; and makes one think, ah, this must be how happiness tastes like. You almost don't want to eat them because they are so pretty. The chocolate Swiss roll fluffy and filled with a light cream, with some cocoa nibs within; the pudding smooth and silky with a fragrant caramel sauce which was not too sweet; a perfect match with black coffee / matcha.
Unfortunately we could not try everything in one seating.

They also offer wagashi classes for those who are interested.
