Earth — Restaurant in Kuriyama

This is an amazing place for Indian tourists craving for some indian food as well as for Japanese nationals to try some Indian food.

I happened to visit today on Christmas with my friend. It is a chilled winter day, and we were welcomed by Dinesh Bhandari as he opened the store.

We tried the garlic Naan with Mutton curry and Butter Chicken gravy which are yum. The Naans are fluffy , soft and hot.

The momos with Garlic sauce was also great for the cold weather.

Khukhri rum from Nepal is also an amazing drink for those looking for a warm cocktail.

For Indians and Pakistani tourists I would recommend they ask for spice levels 3 and above.

Dinesh Bhandari who was expediting The food was super attentive towards all guests, especially the Japanese.

He helped me with a piece of ginger that I was searching for my wife who was down with cold. People and restaurants like him really make this world a small and happy place.

Who would have thought of getting ginger and Indian Mutton curry in Kuriyama.

We were looking for something different after a week of travel in Hokkaido and so happy to find an Indian restaurant. The food was decent but adjusted for the Japanese palette and not for those looking for authentic Indian. We tried 3 curries, one a Saag base, one a tomato base and one a tomato/onion base. I visited the restaurant with a friend on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant has its own parking space and lots of seating as well. There were many people coming and going all the time. We ordered lamb curry, spicy chicken curry and naan. The chicken curry was mentioned as the world's spiciest curry. It took them around 20 minutes to prepare the food. The lamb curry was great.
