Best soba I have had in Japan so far! And I’ve had far more expensive soba but this really hits the spot. It’s a homemade meal and peaceful atmosphere so you truly feel at home here. I recommend trying a soba and dessert! Prices are very good for what you get. You also are served complimentary tea with your food which matches it perfectly. Our tea was refilled multiple times without us even asking. The staff do not speak English well but the English menu is very easy to understand and there are pictures on the Japanese menu to aid you as well. The staff were so kind and welcoming! Would highly recommend whether you’re a local or a tourist visiting Kokedera Temple you will definitely want to stop here! It’s right across from the bus stop which makes it...

You could get better zororo soba for the price but you don’t come here for Michelin star soba, you come here after a long morning of exploring temples and need a nice cozy atmosphere and food in your stomach. The old ladies that made and served the food were super nice and speak...

Cash only. This restaurant is located very close to Suzumushi Temple. I always visit during the cold season, so I ordered the grated yam soba, It's not super tasty, but it has a warm and gentle flavor. They also served warabimochi (bracken-starch dumplings) as a complimentary treat, which was also delicious. The prices are aimed at tourists, so they're by no means cheap. The toilets are clean, so I always use them before and after meals.
