乗鞍高原の宿 irodori/cafe &レストランirodori — Restaurant in Matsumoto

A fantastic cafe/restaurant! We ate here 3 times in our stay at the onsen across the road. We're vegetarian, and the restaurant manager/owner was really helpful directing us on the menu.

They had delicious oyaki - a local speciality filled dumpling/bun - very good miso soup, rice, and side dishes.

We asked for the bento box lunch one day, and they delivered it to our room at the onsen over the road!

I lives in the Kogen side at it takes me a 20 minutes one way walk for my dinner. As one of the two only restaurants operating at night nearby the area of the kogen, it serves great food. The fried chicken is a must try and the steak can feel is quite premium and easy to chew (however the price of 3500 yen is slightly overpriced). The staff serves politely. It worths me walking long way...

We highly recommend Irodori restaurant/cafe for a meal in Norikurakogan Onsen. We really enjoyed our meals here. Some of our group had the Caesar salad and said it was very good. I ate the gyoza set.
