Restaurant Shikitei — Restaurant in Matsushima

If you want food in the Matsushima Station area, Shikitei is a restaurant I can recommend. It has easy-to-understand picture menus, takes credit cards (and even Suica I believe) and serves a variety of noodles and seafood at quite reasonable prices (easy to have dinner for around 1000 yen, lunch for around 700.) No tourist premium here. The menu is varied enough that you can try sushi or sashimi one time, anago don another and still have plenty more types of food to discover in the future. Came on a sleepy night where most of the other shops were closed. Was greeted by a lovely waitress and the owner (chef). The food was fantastic. The whole family had a variety of food, ranging from beef, unagi, tendon, tempura and sashimi. Everything was fantastic! Very genuine and affordable. Would come again if...

Had a delicious lunch here with my family! We enjoyed the kaki fry and the great sauce pairing. Kaki gohan and cooked oysters were great too =)...
