AJISAI — Restaurant in Minamiaso

For those coming to visit Minamiaso-Mura , please be advised that you must search online to see the opening hours of the restaurants you want to dine there as most of them close early (before 6pm). We experienced this lack of choice scenario and got into this restaurant to fill our hungry stomachs. We ordered from the menu the most expensive beef ramen at 1,780 yen and the dinner set at 2,000 yen. We were extremely disappointed by the quality of food. The beef was over cooked and hard to chew (how can you imagine that the beef from Aso is harder and tougher than tree bark ) and the ramen were too soft. We only recommend this restaurant to those who cannot find another eating place at Minamiaso-Mura and please only choose the food that is under 1,000 yen! Lastly, please don’t use the toilet there as our friend remarked that it’s the dirtiest toilet ( something you cannot imagine will happen in Japan) in this whole...

Was looking for a lunch place at 2.45pm on a Sunday (after visiting Mt Aso).

Decided to swing by AJIRAI on our way back to our airbnb.

The restaurant was empty at that time. We were served by a friendly lady boss (doesn’t speak English)

The food came surprisingly fast (11 of us) and was very nice!
