Kamado — Restaurant in Minamiaso

It's nothing to write home about but if you are hungry and in the area it gets the job done.

I had the akagyu (red beef) bowl set which is their signature dish. It was decent and perfectly satisfactory. The starter is a little salad with a nice sesame and vinegar dressing paired with fried tofu. The tofu was freshly fried and not too oily. It was soft and smooth and came with some small garnishes and sauce to dip. When these were put together it was enjoyable but I could tell this was not going to be seared in my memory.

With regards to the rice bowl. It looks great on camera which is what drew me to the spot in the first place. And don't get me wrong it's a nice plate of food, but the beef itself was a bit chewy sadly. The rice below mixed with the special sauce and dripping beef fat was probably the highlight of the meal.

Other people were ordering some good looking shaved ice too but I wasn't in the mood for dessert at the time.

This place is advertised as a teishoku and shokudo which is like a Japanese diner or caff. But I think it's trying to be classier than that. People seemed to be dressed up and the waiters wore...

とにかく配膳が ガタガタでした。4人でハンバーグ定食2つ，豚重，ステーキ単品を 注文しましたが，ハンバーグ定食が 一つだけ 先に来て，もう 一つの ハンバーグ定食が 来たのは 他の3人が 食べ終わってしまった後，あまりにおそいので 忘れられているか 注文に なっていないのかと 思い 2回お店の人に確認したほどでした。 そしてハンバーグの セットの サラダと 小鉢を 豚重 と ステーキ単品の 人の 前に何も言わずに置くので自分達のだと 当人たちは勘違いして食べて しまいました。あとで メニューを 見て気がついた時は既に完食後。。。なんとも気まずい空気がテーブルに 漂いました。何についているサラダと 小鉢なのかの 一言が 欲しかったです。 持ってきた女の子もメニューを理解してなくてこっちも初めての 店なのでわからない 結果そうなってしまいました。メニューの内容くらい覚えている子に配膳させて下さい。 注文受けた子は全くの素人で こちらのメニューについての質問にしどもどあたふたで なに一つ答えられない。忙しいからと急遽人数合わせで手伝いに入った店のメニューも全く知らないし 教えられてもいない知り合いの子って言ったところでしょうか。 1時間近く並んで待たされたあと この サービスは あんまりです。 パニックになりすぎ。 そして4人全員が 食べ終わった後，またハンバーグ定食が 運ばれてきました。なんの行き違い!?そもそも最初のハンバーグ定食は来るの早すぎたから他の人の注文だったのでは?キッチンは注文がグチャクチャのカオス状態になっていたようです。 店内は あまり 広くなくてお座敷席が テーブル4つと テーブルと 椅子の席が16席入ってスグある程度。だから 許容オーバーだったのでしょう。 食事は おいしかったのですが突っ込みどころ だらけで 順序もタイミングも悪い配膳 サービスは 最悪でした。せっかくの美味しい料理がこれでは台無しで...
