Grill Eight — Restaurant in Minamiawaji

Hard to find any restaurants open at 6pm in Awaji Island but luckily we came across this one. This is a small lovely restaurant with lovely owners, very homey feelings. I only spoke a little bit of Japanese, the owner (who is also the chef) told me he had prepared a machine translated menu with pictures which was quite helpful. We could order without any troubles. The food was freshly made in front of us in a small kitchen by the chef and the lovely waitress was his wife. Tasty!! Coincidentally, the chef chatted with us after the meal and he found out that we were staying at a hotel where his son works! His son happens to be the chef in the French restaurant of the hotel which is super cool, both the dad and the son are chef haha he told us to definitely try the breakfast made by his son in our hotel the next day which we did lol the egg Benedict by the son in Hotel Anaga was top...

We are a family of four from Singapore, loved having the food here! The chef is extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to the staff. The cozy atmosphere and delicious teppanyaki made us very happy ❀(´▽`)❀

The steak in particular was very good, and we loved the seafood, salad and soup too! The ice cream was also very cute, loved the おいり 😊 overall it was an amazing experience and we would definitely come again if we return to...

We had a wonderful meal here! Located along an alley street, there is no parking. Further up the street is a public lot. The restaurant is decorated with lots of jockey memorabilia as the chef was one previously! The servings are not overly large, but the quality is fantastic. Definitely...
