Umi no Sachi — Restaurant in Miyakojima

This seafood restaurant was such a memorable experience and the perfect way to end our trip. We ordered a special set menu that included more than enough for a satisfying lunch – the lobster with cheese was incredibly rich and flavorful, and the salt fish was equally delicious, cooked to perfection.

What made the experience even more special was the warm, local atmosphere. It's clearly a favorite among locals, and we were lucky to be welcomed with the same friendly energy. There was even a sweet elderly lady who chatted with us and made us smile – such a charming and unexpected moment.

〈予約　Reservation〉 電話は、お店で呼び出し音が小さい音でしか鳴らないので、運が良いと通じますが、ほぼ通じません。 また料理を先に決めるよう促されますが、ナニが出てくるか分からないのに決めらませんよね〜

It is quite difficult to make a reservation over the phone. This is because the phone only rings at a low volume. You will be asked to order in advance. However, it is not recommended to decide in advance.

〈料理（食べた感想）Thoughts on Eating〉 伊勢海老定食は、正直高すぎます（汗） グリルしてある伊勢海老は、たぶん冷凍だと思われます。（違ったらごめんなさい） 伊勢海老以外は、非常に微妙です。 煮魚は、味付けは悪くないですが、魚自体に脂がのっておらず、パサパサな身で残念な感じでした。 マース煮ですが、塩味と魚のダシが上手くバランスが取れていて味付けは良いです。 刺身定食の刺身は、質もボリューム共にイマイチかな。スーパーで買ってきて食べるのとあまり変わらないです。

I didn't think the sashimi and boiled fish were that good either. Above all, the price is too high. Because of the weak yen, foreign customers may not find it so expensive. However, there are cheaper and tastier restaurants on Miyako Island.

〈総合　Comprehensive evaluation〉 雰囲気は悪く無いが、料理はそれほど美味しいとは思わなかった。また接客はほぼ放置で「食べたら長居せず帰って」感が強く、接客されてるイメージはありません。またインバウンド目当てのプライシングかな？という感想。 Googleの感想など見て予約したけど、完全に期待外れでした（涙） 再訪は無いと思います。

I’ve been here twice. They never picked up the phone so it might be a waste of time trying to call for reservation. I was able to reserve a table when I walked past in person.
