闘魂居酒屋 鉄人 — Restaurant in Miyazaki

Staff and chefs are all very friendly to tourists! Seeing my interest in the Tesshou set, they gently guided me through ordering it. Despite my abysmal command of Japanese, they made the effort to make conversation with me and make me feel welcome, especially since I was travelling alone.

When I came in on a Tuesday evening at 5pm, their Tesshou Set was on discount from ¥1500 - ¥1000!

The set came with a drink (I got a highball). The chicken sashimi and small dish was full of flavour and had a lovely texture. The offal and bean sprouts had no odour at all (so you know it's very fresh) and were fatty and tasty.

Each dish had its own unique umami taste and refreshing kick to them!

I then got the okonomiyaki without cheese. I think it's meant to be shared, because the portion was quite big, but before I knew it, I had finished the whole plate! It had umami, but was nicely balanced with the fresh and sweet cabbage, and I never got sick of eating it because of how good it was!
