I'm usually pretty skeptical about big tourist-y looking restaurants cause I've been let down too many times when it comes to the quality of food, but this place is the real deal. Old diner sort of vibes, with that mix of Japanese and western styles that feels so very... Japanese. lol But the chicken nanban is so much better than what I was expecting. The chicken is extremely tender and well seasoned, and somehow doesn't taste or feel super greasy like a lot of fried chicken does. It also comes with a massive heap of sauce on top... and as heavy as it was... man it was so good. I'm not much of a mayonnaise guy, but this stuff with the chicken is seriously good. I came here with the same idea as most visitors. For the chicken nanban which is a Miyazaki speciality! This traditional restaurant delivered my every expectation.
I ordered their signature chicken nanban of course and it came out quite fast! The service was friendly and the inside was clean and spacious, it may have looked like any other family restaurant but this one felt a bit more cozy than others!

The original chicken nanban and certainly the tastiest we tried while in Miyazaki.
We went on a Saturday lunchtime and there was already a good queue by 11:30am - would definitely recommend coming by early.
The feel of the restaurant is beautifully electric and retro in a very Showa style.
Service was prompt and cheerful.
