Cannery Row — Restaurant in Nagano

Let me start with the positives and then explain why I didn't give this place 5 stars.

The food is good. I ordered a pizza margherita which was delicious. It had a crispy base and it was served with a lovely chilli oil on the side.

The atmosphere is nice? the place is decorated with their target market in mind. Judging by the flower tabe cloths and the fancy tea cups, that market is not me. It is clearly aimed at women rather than men.

I couldn't give them five because I thought it was overpriced and because the salad bad wasn't as good or as Italian as I would have liked. A Mediterranean salad without tomatoes for I stance does t work.

Finally, they didn't serve softdrinks at their drinks bar. Only juice and teas. I know, it's not a big deal and I'm not their target market so I should...

Value for money as it comes with the buffet salad bar. The salad bar and drinks has a good spread. Paella rice was a bit hard because the pan is very shallow. Ragusa pasta was great, rich deep meaty tomato flavour. Pizza dough was more the chewy kind. Loveeee that they grate cheese over as much...
