Camino Real — Restaurant in Nagaoka

I recently visited with my colleagues for dinner, and it was a pleasant experience. Interiors are well crafted with Mexican style. Being vegetarian, I sometimes struggle to find options at Mexican restaurants.  However, the owner here was incredibly accommodating.  I asked if they could make a quesadilla without the meat, and she happily obliged. +1 SUPER Delicious and authentic! +1 Great atmosphere -1 microscopic food amount. Order 4 dishes at least for 1 person to hope to get full. -1 WAY OVERPRICED, or reasonable if the food amount were 2-3X bigger. -1 Bad, slow service. Had to nearly grab them to take our order and bring us water, twice. Almost 1&1/2 HOURS to get 2 people's food all ordered at the beginning. That added expensive parking to the price.

Will eat here again, but only a special occasion when they don't have more than 5...

As a Mexican, I was worried that I would not find good Mexican food in Nagaoka. I was wrong. The food here makes me feel like home with the spices and authentic flavors that remind me of southern Mexico. I highly recommend trying the mole poblano and the birria. Those are so well prepared, and it makes sense talking to the couple on how much goes into preparing these dishes.
