Came to this charming restaurant to satisfy our yearning for pizza/pasta after 2 weeks of Japanese food. We ordered the set dinner for 2, which included an anchovy/salami pizza and creamy spaghetti with mushroom and scallops. Both were simply excellent. The thin crust pizza in particular was crispy and tasty, and had the right amount of bite without being too hard or mushy. Wanted to order another pizza but we were too stuffed given the amount of food.
The shop is run by a lovely and friendly couple, Mr and Mrs Ishihara. Found out they have been married 45 yrs and run the shop for 40! In fact the next day would be the 40th anniversary. Set menu of Salad , spaghetti dish and glass of red wine.... Absolutely delicious and fun, chatting in broken English and my very little knowledge of Japanese.... Handmade pizza was very fresh and the pasta was rich. Also got garlic toast, soup and salad, all very flavorful. Dessert was also nice.
