Absolutely unforgettable! If you're coming back from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and looking for an incredible meal, Gensui Yakiniku in Nago is easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Okinawa.

We called ahead to check if they were busy, and not only were they super accommodating, but they also let us know a table had just opened up. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome — two incredible waitresses and the kind ashop went above and beyond to take care of us.

Now, the food... wow. The Kalbi and Okinawan red meats were melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The fresh vegetables were vibrant and crisp, and the kimchi was absolutely to die for — the perfect balance of spice and flavor. And don’t even get us started on the beef tail ramen — the kids loved it so much they begged for a second bowl! The chicken was next level, super juicy and seasoned just right.

Every dish was clearly prepared with care, and the quality was exceptional. You could really taste the freshness in every bite. Combine that with the warm, attentive service, and you’ve got a hidden gem that’s worth going out of...

The food was to die for. I highly recommend the deluxe short rib and chuck flap—both were melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor. The kimchi here is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the soy and miso of sauces at the table are delicious. Seriously, I could drink them.

The only downside was that I got full too quickly and couldn’t order more food. I was really looking forward to trying the harami, so that’s definitely on my list for next time.
