Horuto On The Hill — Restaurant in Nago

What a lovely place! We stumbled across this store on the way back from Ta-Taki. It's a bit hidden but we saw signs and it was well worth it!

The host was very attentive and friendly despite it being busy at the time of arriving and despite the language barrier. The pancakes are fresh to order and one of the best we've had! Super soft and light with a nice balance of flavours, not too sweet. Especially liked the grilled banana.

You can rest at the rooftop garden while waiting. Nice views and it's easy to pass time watching the island nature and wildlife.

The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. We had a small birthday celebration there and the staff who worked there helped us make it really special, despite only knowing about it quite last minute. They even provided sparklers and free strawberries!

The view from the restaurant is amazing! They also have a beautiful garden / gallery.

Was a bit wary of how this place was up a dirt track, and the sign outside said closed. However, we saw people inside and went to give it a go. The service was warm and friendly, the owner made an effort to converse in English using Google translate which was really sweet. The pancakes were absolutely amazing, best I've ever had. The view and atmosphere in the place was peaceful and homely. View from roof terrace was lovely. Limited seating available inside, a few parking...
