天海 大曽根駅前店 — Restaurant in Nagoya

My friend and I were lured in by the updated appearance of this building, it seemed foreigner friendly with a decent atmosphere. However… “looks” is all this place has going for it.

The food, prices, and staff are all one star. We ordered edamame to start, which came cold with no seasoning. My friend ordered a beer with tempura, which barely had any coating and came soaked in oil. The tempura was literally floppy instead of crispy. And I ordered fish, which I normally love…but the tuna has a sour taste to it. But the worst thing for me was the fly that I found in my sake! It’s winter…why are flys still hanging around in this restaurant?! My friend and I were extremely unhappy and wanted to leave. So we immediately paid our ¥6,000 bill. (An unreasonable amount for the small portions and poor quality.) Now to top it off, even after seeing the table when we paid the bill, not a single staff member attempted to clear empty plates. That was the last straw for me. Eating at this restaurant, you are automatically charged a “table fee”. We didn’t receive table water or tea, the staff didn’t clear plates away…what was the table fee even for?? Worst restaurant experience I have had in Japan. Excuse me, correction. The ONLY bad restaurant experience I have in Japan. I have eaten at 2-3 star restaurants with bad reviews. But at those places I still managed to eat delicious food and be served with more hospitality than...

何年か前に行ったことあり、久しぶりにいってみました。タコの唐揚げを食べたいと思い、みたら値段が950円と高くて驚きました。物価高とはいえこんな価格する？ってくらいの価格でした。でも食べたかったので注文したら、大学生位の女性の方が持ってきてくれたのですが、タコの唐揚げをテーブルに置こうとした際に、1個床に落とし、申し訳ございませんと全部持って引き上げるのか、何かしてくれるのかと思ったら、この唐揚げどうします？いります？といった感じで聞いてきました。この人何言ってるんだ？と思い、いらないですといったらそのまま落としたやつを拾って出て行きました。さすがにこれは酷いと思い、一切食べ物に手をつけずに、次来た時に先程の件をその女性に伝えたら、タコの唐揚げ1個だけ持ってきました。これでいいんだろ？というような感じで渡されました。確かに1個落としたから1個増やせばいいとは思いますが、申し訳なさのかけらもなく、そのような態度はどうかと思います。流石に怒鳴るとかはしませんでしたが、教育体制は最低限しっかりしてほしいです。食事もそこまで大して美味しくもなく、値段もかなり高いです。すぐ違う居酒屋に移動して食べ直ししました。昔は良かった反面ショックがでかいです。二度と行きたくありません。 しかも九州小町から名前変わってました。...

まず最初に出てきたビールがかなりまずい。発泡酒？？ 注意すると次はまともなビール。その次はまた臭いビールもどき。大学生じゃないんだからビールかそうじゃないかくらいはわかる。 9人で行ったのに出されたサラダやチキン南蛮などは２皿で同じ量。 チキン南蛮は非常にクオリティが低く、しかも16切れ。９人なのに？？ 刺し身はハマチとカツオは変色しておりとても生臭い。おそらく解凍してから数時間放置したか前日のもの。サーモンに至っては腐っていた。 スペアリブも８切れ。さすがにナメすぎ。抗議して出てくるのを待つが一向に出ず。再三催促するとラストオーダー後に持ってきた。 隣のキッズ達が大騒ぎしていて身内の話も聞こえない。 名駅店は良かったのに大曽根は酷すぎる。
