They serve best bread in the town. Was in US and Montreal, Canada but never tastes great bread like in La Boulangerie da Cote. My favorite is "Escargot aux raisins" Bit pricey but worth every penny. Relaxing atmosphere exactly like a French cafe. Friendly staff. Oh they serve great coffee too. Give it a try!.

7AM on a weekday, there were already 2 people waiting. Despite the early hour , customers steadily came in after opening. Between 7∶00 -7∶30 , there were 3 people at eat in space . You can watch a man baking bread through a glass partition. the orange juibe from the drink bar was a bit too sweet for me , but you can adjust it with some ice . A pleasant woman was runing the register on her own , she handled everything with such grace and efficiency. the shop is spotless and well-kept . and of course , the bread was amazing . the croissant was perfectly crispy. There's no parking lot but you can find coin parking neaby.

I rarely write reviews but I feel I should take the time to write this one. My wife and I stopped by La Boulangerie Da Cote on our way to Ghibli Park from Kyoto and it was a fantastic experience. The woman who greeted us (maybe the owner?) could not have been nicer and more accommodating for a couple of Americans who barely speak Japanese. The pastry we had was one of the best I've eaten and the iced coffee was very refreshing. The seating area was tucked away in the back and had a pleasant atmosphere. The products in this bakery are among the best we have eaten (especially the pain au chocolat and escargot aux raisins) and as Belgians, we are well used to French bakeries.

The lady holding the shop did her training in France, which is why the products and interior are exactly according to French tradition.

La cerise sur le gâteau, she speaks English, French and Italian.
