Massimo Mariani — Restaurant in Nagoya

The food presentation was nice but the taste wasn’t anything great in particular. In fact, for what it’s worth, it was rather bad than good. When we first came, we thought the place was cute. However, everything was downhill from there. The table we got seated on was shaky, and when we asked the staff about it, they weren’t very helpful. In the end, we crouched down and fixed the table ourselves. On top of that, the table cloth was already stained since the beginning. The staff also wasn’t attentive at all, it was hard to get their attention to order and ask for things. I would understand if it’s any other restaurants but for how they brand themselves and with the price they set for their items, I would expect a better service. Everyone’s favorite cafe in Nagoya !it has been there for 30yrs. It’s open till late (2am?) and they have afternoon tea kind of set (it’s called massiimo set). the decoration cakes cream is heavy and delicious. They have parking lot too. Walkable from Imaike. I like the tea with cream on top. The plates and cups are pretty too. The candle lights are making good atmosphere and I like it ! They only accept cash. The kushiage place next to this is like a sister restaurant. Always perfect for the instagram photos . drink is about 900 yen I believe. Cake set 1600yen? Massimo set 4800yen for two person. You can’t reserve table . They serve Alcohol too.

Great place to relax after dinner or just for a cup of tea and coffee..They have lots of variety to choose from. Different teas and coffees around the world; from light to dark roast. The dessert is not only presented nicely but it taste good as well. I love the ambiance and all the different kinds of tea cups and coffee cups every-visit. They also serve lunch.. a pleasant looking lunch actually and that costs 4,800 yen for 2 persons including the choice of tea or coffee. Its a lovely place to visit with friends and family as well as going out for a date.
