Mountain — Restaurant in Nagoya

Mountain is a quaint cafe in a rather suburban area. They are famous for serving all manner of seemingly strange pasta like Strawberry, Melon, or Kiwi spaghetti, but they also have a large menu offering more traditional cafe fare. Of course, I came here to try something unique, so I opted for their Apple Spaghetti for 1000￥ along with their Strong Coffee at 400￥.

My expectation: savory, sweet, and strange.

What came before me was this beautiful pasta with bits of apple and pineapple, whipped cream, and a cherry on top, dusted with cinnamon. The first bite was puzzling, since it had an initial smell of sweetness coupled with a chewy pasta texture, followed by tart fruit flavor, and finished with a hint of saltiness. I didn’t know what to make of it, but after the successive bites, I was in love. It tasted like an amazing apple cobbler with the sweet flavors of apple and cinnamon, as long as I could get over the weirdness of having dessert pasta. The creaminess from the whip only added layers of flavor.

As for the coffee, it was very, very strong as advertised. It was a bit thick and very black. I definitely recommend the visit here if you’re open to trying something...

Ok I'll be the first review in English This restaurant was recommended to me and some friends when we were in Nagoya for a month It is the most amazing quirky place ever - I had "Choco-Banana Spaghetti" for dinner, and we shared a Tomato layered ice cream (with frozen tomato, ice cream, cream, and some red sauce n__n) Would definitely recommend ! The interior was wood-panelled (to the best of my memory) - a really nice spot. On the way back, we stumbled into a Japanese graveyard - since it was night time, and we didn't know exactly how to get back. It was quite terrible and haunting, showing an additional new glimpse into Japanese history none of our party had experienced before. 友人の勧めで行ってきました(・∀・)

メニューを見ても大体わからんので、大人のお子様ランチというなんとなく惹かれるものと、独自のGotoキャンペーンらしく650円から950円だったかのメニューを頼むと、ドリンクがセットで1000円になるキャンペーンをしてましたので大人のラムネを(ง ˙ω˙)ว

あとやはり名物系の喫茶店ならパフェが美味いだろうと思い、冬季限定のイチゴパフェとやはり喫茶店なら外せない珈琲を食後に(´∀｀*)

大人のお子様ランチは胡椒とニンニクかなこれ、美味いチャーハン(・∀・)ﾓﾘﾓﾘｸｴﾙ ラムネはよく分からんけど( ˘ω˘ )ﾌﾂｳﾆｳﾏｲ

そして食後にドーンなイチゴパフェ＼＼\ ٩( 'ω' )و //／／ﾃﾞｶｰｲ

アイスの間にスポンジが入っててイチゴケーキみたいになってる(　ﾟдﾟ)ﾝﾏｯ!

そしてコーヒー（/◎＼） とりあえずストロングとソフトを頼みましたが普通に美味しいやつ(・∀・)ﾌﾞﾚﾝﾄﾞﾉｼｭﾙｲﾅﾝｶﾅ

ボリュームと値段と味で考えて文句は無いかなぁ(´-ω-)ﾎｶﾉﾓｷﾆﾅﾙﾐｾﾀﾞ

期間限定の甘口いちごスパを食べましたよ、マウンテンがマウンテンたる奇食ってやつですね(・∀・)

お味についてはまあ食べられなくは無いけれどパスタの小麦にクリームやいちごが負けてる感じですね( ˘ω˘ )ﾏｽﾞｸﾊﾅｲｶﾞｳﾏｸﾓﾅｲ

キウイパフェはこれまたケーキ的にスポンジ入っててウマウマ(ﾟдﾟ)ｳﾏｰ

そしてまた別の日に食べましたのは赤いワンピースというパスタ〜(｀・∀・)ﾉｲｪ-ｲ！ 焼きそば的な色合いでそこまで辛そうに見えないでしょう〜(´∀｀*)ｳﾌﾌｸｯｿｶﾗｲ

一口食べてまずむせる 二口食べてまたむせる 三口食べて辛いを自覚し 四口も食べりゃ痛くてたまらん(;ﾟ∀ﾟ)

食べきりましたけどね、これ、ピリ辛とかじゃないの激辛というか極辛なの🥵

よっぽどの辛党じゃないとおすすめ出来ません、昼食べて夜に尻が痛いやつです(๑´•ω • `๑)

プロジェクトパフェはスポンジないタイプのパフェだねぇ、何がプロジェクトかは知らないですΨ( 'ч' ☆)ｳﾏ

という訳でそーいやマウンテンにカレーがあった気がしたので登山に向かいました(・∀・)ｶﾚｰｸﾜｾﾛ

今更だけどここ食べ切るのを登頂って言うらしいですね( 'ω')ﾌﾂｳﾆｸｯﾃﾀ

ハンバーグカレー(・∀・)ｽﾃｷﾀﾞ 独自Gotoでドリンク3代目付き1000円

メニューにトウガラシマークが2つついてるんですが〜( ˘ω˘ )

食べた感想的には一般的な辛口から激辛くらいになんのかなこれ( 'ω')ｹｯｺｳｶﾗｲﾖ

味はなんかあれだね、1周回ってレトルトみたいな•́ω•̀)? ハンバーグは美味いな( ﾟｰﾟ)ｳ ( ｡_｡)ﾝ ボリュームは結構ある

ボリュームは結構あるんだよ なんで俺はホットケーキを頼みましたかね ひろしの気まぐれホットケーキですよ これもボリュームが結構あるよ(・ω・　)

三代目は柚子かこれ？ な感じのソーダだょ

ウインナーコーヒー前にカプチーノ頼んだのと見た目変わらん気がするのは気の所為だろうか・・・

完食したけど、どっちかだけでも良かったんじゃないかなかぁという気もしました、甘いコーヒー頼んだのは失敗だった気もする( ˘ω˘ )ﾎｯﾄｹｰｷｱﾏｲ
