Hamburger Diner Flip-Flop — Restaurant in Naha

I don’t like to give bad reviews…. I live in mainland Japan and had been up since 4am traveling, so I was pretty exhausted. I wanted a burger and reviews looked good. Drove 20 min out of the way to go here. Food was great. I was tired, relaxing and slouched down a bit to close my eyes and relax after long travel and let my wife finish eating. The server (owner I think) said something in English. I didn’t understand. Then in Japanese he said “don’t sleep”. The way he said it was quite rude and completely killed the mood. I wanted to leave immediately. My wife is Japanese and we couldn’t figure out what the deal was. We weren’t loud and I had drank no alcohol. We were in the corner and not one other customer came in the entire time we were there. Was very rude and awkward. Good burger, but I’ll never go again. This is by far the best hamburger I have ever eaten in my life. Words cannot describe the beauty and deliciousness of the Mac and cheese burger. The Mac and cheese itself was probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten, and adding onions to it gave it an amazing kick! Not to mention the flavored salt you could add to it to!

The patty was so perfect. This didn’t have any of the minuscule hard parts that are often found in burgers. The flavoring was amazing and I could tell they used great ingredients to create it.

The inside of the restaurant is very nice. It has a laid back vibe that sets the mood just right. The water is self service and the inside is very clean.

Probably my best meal in the past week here in Okinawa! Ordered Pumpkin burger and it was something special in a very good way. The patty itself was meaty, the lotus root slice served a crunchy texture and unpeeled pumpkin chunks also gave an interesting experience to my palette. A really laid back atmosphere and nice staff. Def will come back if I come visit...
