My Friday nights in Okinawa don’t feel the same if not hanging with my friend June and his wife at Westside. They are the local owners and they are the ones who showed me that kindness and goodness goes along with Okinawan people. I felt more at home here because of them. At first their place was literally next door to my BnB, and then the next time they were a 12 minute scooter ride away. I love the atmosphere and the food here. I’ve never met more personable and friendly easy going people at a bar in particular, which I don’t frequent often. But Westside is more than a bar, it’s an experience. I once met a guy from Australia here and most of the people I’ve met here seem to just be good hearted humans.

We had an incredible experience at Westside Pub during our visit to Japan for the U18 Baseball World Cup! As a group of parents from South Africa 🇿🇦, we were blown away by the warm hospitality and delicious food. We stopped by twice, and both times the atmosphere was electric! The owners were absolute legends, making us feel like part of the family despite being thousands of miles from home. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. We loved experiencing the local culture with a side of home comforts. Highly recommend Westside Pub to anyone visiting Japan - you won't be disappointed! Send our love to my friend “Mr Chow” 😉

We also tried the Coca Cola float as well as the vanilla ice cream with salt and olive oil - very special and super yummy! Highly recommend this place. All the best for you guys!
