森の巣箱 — Restaurant in Nakijin

I had been eagerly anticipating a visit to this place, and finally had the chance last month. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate as it was rainy during that time. However, despite the weather, I still enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the place. To my surprise, I discovered that they not only offer a cafe but also a hotel and sauna. During my visit, we only experienced the cafe, although I was hoping to sit outside and admire the view of the sea and mountains, but the rain made it impossible.

I couldn't help but imagine how wonderful it would have been if the weather had been sunny. Nonetheless, I decided to try their famous hummus plate, which was a new experience for me. While it was good, it didn't exceed my expectations. I also enjoyed their pineapple drinks, although I was disappointed that their handmade cacao cola was unavailable.

When pinning the area, it's worth noting that the navigation will direct you to the parking area, which is approximately a 3-5 minute walk from the cafe itself. Additionally, on the first visit, it can be a bit confusing to find the specific cafe since there are no visible signs. We relied on walking until we recognized the cafe we had seen online.

Overall, despite the weather setback, it was a positive and romantic...

Food was lovely, location and general mood was perfect Not a lot of choice but if you like hummus and fresh food you’re onto a winner - was potentially my favourite meal of the trip

One bug took a liking but I suppose was only being friendly, completely harmless

All freshly made and served by one guy so he was a little preoccupied to also control the weather like some of the other reviews seem to think he should have done (There is also covered seating which was just as nice)
