NORR coffee roasters — Restaurant in Nara

I enjoyed a beautifully brewed cup of coffee paired with a matcha sweet. The coffee had a clean, rich flavor with a comforting bitterness that was perfectly balanced. The matcha sweet was soft, subtly sweet, and carried a pleasant earthy aroma that complemented the coffee very well. The cafe’s design was striking yet calming, a mix of natural wood, well-organized furnitures, and soft lighting. Large windows brought in natural light and frame views of greenery, creating a sense of openness while still feeling cozy. Whenever I find myself taking a wrong turn, I usually take it as a sign if I stumble upon something I enjoy after I make my mistake. I did that when I stumbled upon NORR coffee roasters. My wife and I were walking the streets of Nara after hours of walking around feeding deer and reflecting at the temple, when I was starting to feel a little thirsty and sleepy. A perfect escape from the busier parts of Nara and the crowds. The coffee - both black coffee and caffe latte - were lovely, and the citron pound cake was a delicious snack (not dry at all). The ambiance of NORR is really what sets it apart, though. The interior is stunning and so peaceful.

There's also a cute guest book for visitors to sketch in, and there's a chance that NORR might use the drawings in it on their future coffee packaging. Looking through this book and adding to it was really fun.
