御食事処 扇 — Restaurant in Narita

As a first English review writer, I think Its my responsibility to leave a detailed info so anyone who is non-Japanese speaker can relax and worry-free when they come to dining. This place is phenomenal! Its a classic Japanese style restaurant where customers and owner known each other for long time, one of the customer sometimes helped us to translate.The atmosphere and hospitality here are so unbelievable, it’s a family’s run business, both father and son are working at the counter while mom is serving customers.

The materials they use here are so fresh and the prices is soooo reasonable (consider that most Japanese restaurant in London are expensive and most importantly tasteless), the nigiri we ordered here is like twice bigger than the nigiri in London with better quality as well.One of the thing you will find tricky is that they currently don’t have a English menu yet but the son does speak little English and helps you understand the menu( at the end, I learned how to use google translate) .

Once again, just come to dine even though you are worrying about the communication issue, its some thing very normal when you travelling abroad but it is one of experiences you would hardly ever forget. I personally definitely would save this place as my “must go” place when I come to...

On my first night out in Japan after a full week of quarantine, I went out for a long walk. I stumbled upon this cosy Japanese style restaurant, worried that I wouldn’t be able to communicate without knowing a word of Japanese, I crossed it twice before deciding to get in, and I’m so glad I did. The owner and his son were so helpful, I had the sashimi rice bowl and it was by far the best I ever had and it was so reasonably priced. The food was good: it was a nice temperature, it arrived in a timely manner, and I had no issues or complaints with it.
