Boulangerie Couronne — Restaurant in Nasu

On a whim one Friday morning, I popped into this bakery for a little change of pace. I’m not usually big on bread, but I was truly wowed by the deliciousness here. Their ‘Salty Dog’ is a must-try—it offers a unique taste that you won’t find anywhere else, with a juicy sausage encased in a crusty on the outside, soft on the inside roll. It was gone before I knew it! I also tried their cream bun and curry bread, both of which were exceptional.

The shop itself is very clean and has a wide variety of breads that are a feast for the eyes alone. If I’m ever back in Nasu, I’ll definitely revisit.

これまでに約１０種類のパンを購入。 どれも美味しい。 でも、我が家の高齢者に、このお店のハード系のパンは硬すぎるようで不評。 「単純に食べ方が悪いだけなのかなぁ？」と思いながらも、過去２回の提供では、そのような反応でした。

美味しいので「星七つ」、高齢者にこの固さは「星三つ」。 総合評価は、間を採って「星五つ」です。 今後、高齢者にも食べやすい方法を見つけることができれば、「星五つ超え」かと。 高齢者を喜ばせるには「焼き立て？」、「温め方？」、「カット具合？」 次回、お店で尋ねてみようか。
