Foot Prints — Restaurant in Nasu

I discovered a charming cafe just steps away from my hotel, and it turned out to be more delightful than I could have imagined. The atmosphere inside was perfect, with jazz records playing in the background as I enjoyed a meticulously crafted “高原ブレンド/ Kogen Blend” coffee.

What really made an impression was the warm hospitality of the owner. Meeting people is an essential part of traveling, and for foreigners visiting Japan, interacting with someone like him can be an extraordinary experience. He used to travel the world as a backpacker, and his stories are incredibly engaging.

The cafe also features a collection from “Blue Giant,” which perfectly matches the ambiance, donated by fans.

However, the cafe does allow smoking, so some might find the scent of tobacco a bit bothersome. Nonetheless, if you find yourself in Nasu, don’t miss the chance to experience this cafe’s fantastic music, delicious coffee, and heartfelt...

これまでに２回利用させていただいて、ともに大満足。 木の香りがただよう内装に、冬季なら薪ストーブが温かみを与えます。（少～し暖かさは足りないような気がするけど） 各所にディスプレイされたjazzのレコードやCDは、すっかり遠ざかったアーティストの１曲に夢中であった時代を思い起こさせます。

初回は、開店直後に訪問。（１２月） 直前に車を乗り入れるも、未だ「OPEN」の看板も、店内に人影も見えず。「定休日か？」と思いつつも、南側のパン屋「クーロンヌリネア」さんへ向かった後に再び訪問して初入店を果たしました。 私は「ツナサンド」と「フットプリンツブレンド」。 同行者は「クリームチーズプリン」と「マイルドブレンド」。 「プリン」は、使用する卵の数が多いことを感じさせる、固焼きのような存在感でありながら、滑らかな仕上がりでした。 個人的には、「コーヒーの酸味」とともにいただきたい一品でした。 「ツナサンド」は、入店を待ちかねたお腹にとって「もっと...」と思わせるものでした。

二回目は、１２月の夕暮れ時。「くつろぎたいなぁ～。」の時間。 前回とは異なる同行者とともに、 「クリームチーズプリン」と「マイルドブレンド」。 上記に『個人的には、「コーヒーの酸味」とともにいただきたい一品』としましたが、二回目の訪問で一品すべてをいただいたことで、『次回は「グァテマラ」あたりと供に。』と思いました。
