ピッツェリア 新潟中央インター店 — Restaurant in Niigata

Excellent slightly upmarket Italian eatery. Came around lunchtime on a weekend, and the place was packed. Spent 25 minutes waiting to be called. The vibe of the restaurant is people sitting and chatting after eating, so the turnover can be a bit slow. The lunch special of drink bar, salad bar, and pasta plate was excellent, and the salad bar had a lot of variety, from green leafy veggies to potato salad, and curried sweet potatoes. There were four salad dressings, so the chances of finding something you like is very high. The drink bar was split into fizzy and soda drinks and coffee drinks, but the mixtures on all the drinks I tried were excellent. The pasta lunch had the choice of three noodle types: fettuccini, regular spaghetti, or what they call ‘mocchiri’ which is a fatter, chewier spaghetti. I opted for that, and it did not disappoint. The pasta main dish came quickly, and there was a lot of it. I’m used to places have smaller servings, but the amount of pasta, sauce, cheese, and vegetables was almost too much. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, the mozzarella was chewy and had an amazing texture, and the noodle were, indeed, chewy and the right amount of al dente. 長岡のピッツェリアには何度か行ったことあったのですが、こちらは初めてでした。パスタのランチにチョコバナナのケーキを頼みましたが、サラダバーもお代わりしたので、お腹がいっぱいになりました。次回は直径３０センチのピザを頼もうと思います😋
