Kaikatsu CLUB Niigatateraoten — Restaurant in Niigata

Internet cafes are a great place to break from routine and get work done that you just can’t seem to finish at your home office. Kaihatsu Club is precisely this location. It has booths of all types, massage chairs, what are called ‘open flat’ rooms with a small Japanese-style zaisu chairs, a recliner, and just open spaces with a table for customers to borrow from the cafe’s ample manga or magazine selections. There is also a digital look up (all Japanese, so be prepared to look for your favorites in the aisles if you can’t navigate an all Japanese menu) to find what manga you’re looking for. Customers can stay for any length of time, even over night packs, but I’ve found the three hour pack for ¥1,000 (depends on the time of day, day of the week) to give me enough time to write lessons, grade essays, or do other work. Most booths have computers with office or connections to video and news services, recently released movies, with family oriented and more adult focused content. Kaihatsu offers a morning service, bread and butter with two toasters which starts at 7 am and continues to 10:30 am. As with many other Internet cafes, they have a free refill drink bar and soft serve non-stop. There’s a smoking lounge in case a customer simply can’t wait, and an extensive menu of other snacks available to order. There’s also karaoke rooms and darts or billiards available for reservation. It’s easy to spend as much or as little of a day as you want here. The app helps you navigate which spaces are available, so you can figure out before you go. The staff always come off as part-timers, and they do their work, but it always seems like there’s one less person on staff that is necessary because the clerks are always washing dishes, tidying up booths for turnover, retrieving used dishes from the different stations around the cafe, or checking in/out customers at the front counter. こちらの店舗には、鍵付き完全個室はありません。ブース席とオープンシートのみです。 フロントで「鍵付き個室ありません」と言われて困っていらした、遠方から来たと思われる方が居ましたが… 公式サイトの店舗ページで『店内マップ』や『空室状況』が見られますので、事前にチェックしていただけます。

最寄りのJR寺尾駅から徒歩5分程度。徒歩の場合、市内の漫喫・ネカフェでは、ここ一択かと思います。電車は上下ともに一時間に3本程度あります。 初見の方は、最短ルートだと駅周辺が少しわかりづらい道になるので、マップに表示される大きめ通り沿いでの行き来がおすすめです。 田舎にしては人が多めな住宅街なので、夜でもあまり不安は感じません(流石に深夜は真っ暗)。

近くにスーパーやドラッグストアがあり、店内飲食では賄えない食品などを買っていくのに便利です。(ソフトクリーム用のトッピングや、お惣菜を買って行くのがおすすめ)

店内は新しくはありませんが、安心して落ち着ける雰囲気です。 よく利用しますが、騒ぐお客さんもほぼ居ないし、店員さんもほぼ感じよく接客してくれます。稀に愛想の少ない方もいますが、不快な思いをした事はありません。 フードも普通に美味しいです。これからも頑張っていただきたいです。

オープンシートは、他店舗の読み放題カフェと名称が違うとおり、価格が高めとなっています。一人のスペースが低めの壁でしっかり仕切られているタイプです。ブースとそこまで価格が変わらないため利用した事はありませんが、割といつもお客さんが居るので、満席の時も多いのかなと。 一人で入れるワンツーカラオケや、マッサージチェアのブースもあり。 女性は、カードキーが無いと入れないレディースフロアがあるのでおすすめです。ただ(嫌な匂いではないんですが)独特の芳香が僅かに感じられるので、駄目な方はフロントで席変更を申し出て下さい。

昔喫煙フロアだったところが、今は普通のブースになってます。ここを鍵付き個室に改装したらいいのになぁ？って...

【追加投稿】 連泊して気が付いたのですが、いまは珍しくなった女性専用ブースがあり、また飲み放題席は仕切りで区切られ、どこかのお店の狭いブースと同じくらいのエリアがあるのではなかろうかと（苦笑）結構贅沢なお店だったんですね。 相変わらず、朝方になるとブース内ではウシガエルが鳴きます。 今朝は３匹合唱してました。

期間限定セールでかなりお安い利用料になっているので訪問。サービス内容はいたってほかのお店と違いはないようです。ただ、このキャパでトイレの大用は１つ（そのほか体の不自由な方が使えるのが一つあります。）、シャワーは１つなのは少ないと思われます。ブースはほぼ満員状態。静かな環境でしかも安いのであたりと思いきや、明け方、ウシガエルの合唱（いびき）大会。お店には問題ないけど、利用客の方に問題があった。(笑) 音漏れ客に店員さんが「カラオケルームに移しますよ」と言っていたのが印象的。なんとも頼もしい。次回いびきで耐えられないとき、店員さんにお願いするかも。(笑)「いびきがうるさくて眠れません。いびき客はカラオケルームに隔離してください。」（大笑）...
