とんかつ一彦 — Restaurant in Nikko

I saw someone gave this place one star which ruins the scoring and I need to correct this:

I went here together with a friend and the Tonkatsu was immaculate. Tender meat with crunchy crust, delicious pickled veggies and Miso soup. You even get to prepare your own sauce to put on top. What an experience.

In addition, the two brothers preparing the food are just the funniest and nicest people!

An utterly charming tonkatsu diner. It's just big enough for 4 counter seats, there are calendars on all the walls, the TV is playing some baseball programme, and you better believe the tonkatsu is bloody perfect. Two kind uncles run this place and were patient with our bumbling ways, personally reaching over to mix sauces into the sesame seeds we had just ground, after deeming our efforts less perfect than desired. A fantastic little local tonkatsu restaurant. A five minute walk from the Shimo-Imaichi train station. There are only 5 or 6 chairs in the restaurant but the food and service were flawless.
