Good food, but we had a really odd experience trying to get seated here. It’s one of the only places open on a weekday evening, and we turned up at 6pm on Thursday and there was a ‘closed’ sign on the door, despite their last orders being at 8pm. We tried our luck anyway as there were people eating, but got turned away, even though another couple had just sat down, and the place wasn’t full.
We went back on Saturday around 7pm and the sign said ‘open’ but it was full. They said it was 30mins wait so we tried over the road with no luck. We were prepared to wait, so went back, by which time the sign had been changed to ‘closed’….When we showed up and said we’d wait, they looked like they didn’t want us there. 2 mins later a table paid up and left and we were seated, and the sign was changed back to ‘open’ with lots more people coming in after us.
The food was OK and reasonably priced, and the service once we were seated was good, but the whole experience was really strange and made us...
Read moreThe clerk is really unfriendly and the staff were standoffish. I get that they’re “king” because not many places open on weekday nights but the attitude (even towards us Gaijins) were barely polite. We were trying to find a solution that inconveniences them least and they kept showing us out even thought the tables were emptying out. After waiting outside for 15mins and starting a queue, they finally let us in even though they were still clearly not keen on servicing
Food was serviceable. More like fast food style. Attitude completely soured my experience. Urge other restaurants to open for dinner to meet demand so they don’t think they’re able to get away with this bad attitude
P.S. Checked google after ordering and realised they’ve had a habit of discriminating foreigners… i guess is good to know that at least they’re...
Read moreToday I had with my husband the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious, especially the Yuba dishes. It was my first time trying it, and I was blown away by the flavors and the creamy silky texture of the yuba. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, creating a welcoming environment. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who were both quick and incredibly polite. There was a wonderful sense of it being a family-owned establishment, which added to the overall charm. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again in the future. Also they have a large selection of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including...
