Ranburu Restaurant — Restaurant in Nikko

To be honest, we were really disappointed with our experience at this place. My sister and I asked for a window seat, but the staff responded with a "No," even though there were about 30 tables and hardly any customers.

What made it even more frustrating was witnessing an English lady asking for the same request and being denied as well. There were only 4 occupied tables, including 3 foreign tables and 1 Japanese table near the window.

We initially thought the window seats might be reserved, but they closed just 30 minutes later. When our food arrived, the service was unpleasant, as the server simply threw it on our table without any courtesy.

Overall, the lack of consideration for our request, coupled with the poor service, left us with a negative impression of the place. We hope they can improve their service and treat all customers equally...

at first the staffs seem intimidating, but I think they simply busy. because on 2nd visit (not peak hour), staffs smile more lol

seating was up to the staffs. but i don’t mind. they serve you fast, so you won’t wait for seat/food long. but take your time swallowing your food.

i love that they have various menu. I came here twice during my stay in Nikko. if you love seafood, do order fried oyster/ squid/ shrimp/ unagi.

prices are reasonable: 1,500-2,000yen/person. if you want to save, don’t order set & additional drink. just order 1 bowl menu and that’s beyond enough (portion is big).

Great location, good service and friendly but the food..... it’s meh at best. My ramen was store bought noodles and broth, Dimsum was frozen food too I’m pretty sure (mostly because I’ve literally bought the same ramen kit and same frozen dumplings before 😅). I don’t recommend this place if you’re looking for real food that’s cooked from scratch in house with fresh ingredients.
