The food was good, I should at least admit it.
However, I had an unfortunate experience during the waiting process that left a sour impression. It is important to acknowledge the quality of the food, but the encounter I had regarding the language used in the waiting list book was disheartening.
Upon arriving, I noticed a waiting list book outside the restaurant and proceeded to write my name in English. Shortly after, the person responsible for managing the list emerged from the restaurant and noticed my entry. Rather than addressing the situation politely, she marked my name with a large red note that read "ひらがな!!!!" accompanied by an exclamation mark, indicating that only names written in Japanese characters were accepted.
I found this response to be rude and offensive, which left me feeling quite offended. Fortunately, my wife was familiar with the Japanese alphabet and was able to rewrite our names accordingly. However, the incident still cast a shadow over our dining experience.
So I have a question - would this restaurant refuse service to customers who are unable to write their names in "Hiragana"?

Quite a popular place with the locals too as we were lucky enough to snare a table right at lunchtime on a Tuesday as another diner had just finished their meals.
Shortly afterwards, a small queue formed outside so I guess we were lucky not having to wait, but trust me, it's definitely worth the wait even if you have to.
The dish itself is wonderfully tasty with the meat being tender, juicy and succulent with just the right combination of sweet and salty with a smoky flavour.
The larger one in the photo is 6 slices of meat whereas the smaller one consists of 4 slices with roughly the same amount of rice.
