Nanchattei — Restaurant in Obihiro

Well we were out for a late night walk to try and find a place to eat in the middle of nowhere Obihiro Japan! The place we wanted to go was shut on a Friday night at 9pm so we went down the hill and around the corner was this place! Okonomiyaki! I said! 🙌

It was empty but the master welcomed us in even though it was quite late and night and last orders were being called. I am so glad he accepted our custom! It was great!

The okonomiyaki was perfect! I ordered bacon, cheese and crispy noodles okonomiyaki. I have had Hiroshima style before and wasn’t so keen on it, but this is what I had hoped it would be!

Service was great and the owners are really interesting and friendly people. It seems the ingredients are sourced locally! It is fun to see where everything you are eating comes from!

They have photos of horses what make the poop for growing the vegetables! 😋

I also got cheese sticks that were perfect to go with my beer and the cabbage with spicy miso was really refreshing after...
