Bian — Restaurant in Okinawa

We truly love Bian and it has quickly become our go-to spot! So many great options and dishes, very vegetarian friendly and perfect spot for large groups and visitors in town. There is a little bit of everything on the menu and lots of drink options. Such a killer view if you can sit along the windows.

There are so many dishes we love after all of our visits, but highly recommend the tempura mushroom, vegetarian stir fry, yakitori, white spring onion, butter chicken and paneer saag curry, vegetable kabobs and any of the naan! Plates come out as they are finished so nothing has ever arrived at the table cold. Ordering is done by tablet at the table. There are tons of beer and drink options as well as great mocktails. The Mega Beer is as mega as it sounds! Be sure to order your water via table from the drink menu, also. Pictures really don’t do the plates justice.

The service at Bian is always so friendly, attentive and professional! You can tell everyone on the team works so hard and does their best to provide the best experience for guests.

Bian is about 10 minutes from Kadena Gate 2 anc there is parking available right in front of the building. Once you park just head up the stair to the second floor, just past the ever present police man…

We have paid with yen and card, typically spending under ¥2500 per person and leaving beyond full and happy. If in a group there’s a great button on the tablet at the table to see how much per person if splitting the bill.

When looking for authentic Indian Curry this restaurant Bian most definitely is the place. The ambiance is so unique and welcoming. They are well prepared for a family with children. The inside doesn’t seem as huge on the outside until walking inside. I booked for a party of 13. Once arriving we were seated and immediately given fresh edamame. The waitress I can’t remember her name but it did begin with an L. She was prompt and very friendly and polite. She made sure to make us feel very comfortable and requested items from the menu she thought were great. Her smile lit up the room. No matter how many times we placed variety of orders she delivered with grace. The food was flavorful and the curry sauces were creamy. The garlic curry shrimp were so huge, fresh and very juicy. The jerk chicken had all the right flavors. We partied and enjoyed ourselves with a group of Korean soccer players. What I loved the most is how welcome the owners made each and everyone feel. He never rushed us to finish our food neither did he stop us from ordering. The drinks were also phenomenal. The correct amount of liquor to get you right. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone especially those with children. No need to worry about the noise your kids will make. It’s the right type of environment and energy...

My friend recommended this restaurant and I am so glad I was finally able to go try it out! The electronic menu, located right at the table, offered both English and Japanese and made ordering a breeze. We sat at a table right in front of the glass wall that overlooked the entire city as the staff brought us warm towels and mini appetizers. I was a little worried, as I am a vegetarian the staff really went out of their way to make a completely vegetarian meal (not on the menu) to make sure I was satisfied. However, they did have a lot of vegetable options on their menu and they were extremely knowledgeable about how they were prepared, being cautious of fish broth or other meat contaminates. The food was DELICIOUS and all the staff were extremely friendly. The dessert, ice cream naan, was absolutely to die for and I cannot wait to take my friends with me time and time again!
