Dos Manos in Okinawa City may be small, but it’s packed wall-to-wall with Mexican vibes. From the colorful décor to Latin records spinning in the background, the atmosphere nails that authentic Latino/Latina experience. Even waiting for my takeout felt like part of the fun. I ordered taco rice, a beef wet burrito, and two tacos of every flavor. When I got home, everything looked fresh and tasted just as good. The taco rice was spot-on, the wet burrito was loaded and flavorful (my girl loved it), and the tacos delivered real chicken and beef, seasoned just right. Freshness is the first thing you notice, and flavor follows right behind. It is a little pricey, but the quality and taste make it worth it, especially if you’re craving Mexican food done right in Okinawa. Other diners say the same: Dos Manos is known for some of the best tacos on island, with standouts like lengua, lamb, guacamole, and horchata. People love the big portions, authentic flavors, and fun atmosphere. Some note that beans and rice aren’t the strongest part of the menu, and tacos can run about ¥500 each but overall, the food earns its reputation. For payment, they do accept credit cards, but it’s smoother and faster to use electronic tap pay. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful Mexican food with a true cultural vibe, Dos Manos is a solid pick.

By far the best tasting Mexican I’ve had on the island. We started with the small portion of nachos. At first I was disappointed in the cheese, but as you get Into the nachos you start tasting more of the cheese. Enjoyed them and recommend them but might try another appetizer next time. My chicken burrito was stuffed with chicken, beans, cheese, and enchilada sauce. It was delicious! My husband tried the steak, chicken, and lamb tacos. He said the steak was the best but enjoyed the chicken as well. Both of our boys enjoyed their burrito, quesadillas, and tacos meals. I loved the fact that they have a small play area with a ton of toys to keep our boys entertained while waiting. From the time we sat down until we left there were people coming In constantly that Saturday afternoon. The directions of here are accurate thank goodness because the street entrance doesn’t have a sign. We lucked out and found parking in the pay parking lot across the street but forgot to ask if they offered free paid parking.

The burritos are very bland. The chips are homemade but cold, which makes them a bit stale. With the pico de Gallo it was good, though on the salty side. The kids’ quesadillas were the best thing I tried. The rice and beans, bland. Very pricy, too. A Japanese twist on Mexican, which makes it less than Mexican. Why are they afraid to make things spicy? Maybe i ordered the wrong thing. ? Though you should be able to enjoy anything you order at a really good restaurant, right? Service was nice but super slow. I wouldn’t recommend for the steep prices and Japanese-esque style Mexican food. Solid 4-stars, and that’s only bc Mexican is hard to come by on this island. Go to Oblee.

Stepping into Dos Manos feels like taking a mini trip to a charming town in Mexico. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the authentic aroma of freshly prepared tacos and the lively sound of traditional Mexican music, instantly transporting you to a place steeped in culture and flavor.

This family owned gem, run by a couple who lived and brought their culinary passions from Mexico to Okinawa in 2011, offers a truly authentic experience. Everything is made fresh daily, from the soft corn tortillas to the tender carnitas that are perfectly simmered to perfection. I highly recommend trying the carnitas quesadillas or the corn tortillas filled with these flavorful meats. Each bite is a delight.

The interior is charmingly decorated with memorabilia that evokes a true mom and pop feel, making it a welcoming spot for families and kids alike. The cozy atmosphere perfectly complements authentic food.

Among my personal favorites is the chicken rice, especially when topped with vibrant, fresh salsa verde; it’s comfort food at its best. Whether you're craving a quick, delicious snack or a filling meal, Dos Manos delivers with genuine Mexican flavors and a warm,...
