Getsuen Hanten Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Okinawa

The food is ok but not good enough for the price. I ordered two beef broccoli thinking that would be enough for five people. When we got the food home there wasn’t even food filled up to half of the container. It was two thousand yen I’m not sure if that was for both or just one. Either way twenty dollars is pretty expensive. I went back to ask if they would fill all the way to the top she got out a plate put it on the plate and said that was enough to fill the plate which would feed one person. So now I know each regular order feeds one person and a large might feed two. The food is ok but not great, she said she would fill up that time but they would not be able to do it again but that is ok because we will not be back. Getsuen Hanten, otherwise known as, Plaza House Chinese: This is the second time that we have eaten at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Be forewarned this is not an American-style Chinese restaurant so the flavors are not as sweet or spicy as American-Chinese counterparts; this is more authentic Chinese cuisine. The flavors are more savory and for the mature palate. The restaurant is clean and serene, the staff is extremely helpful and attentive, and the food is excellently prepared and will not disappoint. We were stationed there from 1997 until 2001... many times I have eaten there with the company I worked for. I took my family there for special occasions. Wonderful service! Best atmosphere! THE BEST CHICKEN EVER!!!!! And there is a pork dish, I think served cold, with something in the center.... it is so delicious!!!
