y husband and I made reservations the weekend before Father’s Day when we saw that the restaurant offered a vegan gyro. We did not know that the evening dining experience was so much more than the day time menu. Because we failed to mention that we were vegan when making our reservation, the owner was not as prepared for us as she would have wanted to be. Still, we were incredibly impressed by what she whipped together - delicious hummus, Greek salad, savory rosemary roasted nuts, fruits, and some of the most scrumptious infused oil and crackers I’ve ever had. She was really disappointed that we hadn’t given her prior notice because she had so many wonderful ideas for our vegan palates.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of the whole night was the wine and alcohol component. She was so very knowledgeable, and I felt like I learned so much about each wine. We followed the meal with digestive shots, and by then, my husband and I had made friends with the two other parties dining in that night. The owner moved beyond curating a fabulous meal to curating some really fabulous conversation, and that’s no exaggeration. All in all, it was just a really warm dinner unlike any other dining experience I’ve had before. I can’t wait to return because if she did such a fabulous job of feeding us stellar cuisine without expecting us, I know we will really have a glorious time when she anticipates us the next time. If you haven’t been yet, don’t hesitate to make your reservation. You will not be...
Read moreLittle Greek Kitchen, but Big Greek Flavors! Moving from conex boxes on Ikei Jima to a great location (with a spectacular view) in Yomitan the tastes will move you to want more! After eating here today, this restaurant immediately jumped into my Top Ten restaurants on Okinawa.
The restaurant has a warm and inviting appeal that is shared by the owner and her helpers. There are various proteins on the menu that you can choose from, but we chose the Meze option (Chef's choice) which was a four course meal. Our culinary journey started with a light and fresh Greek salad, that was followed by tasty dips and Greek breads, followed by a sumptuous Meze main plate and finished with coffee and dessert. Our Meze plate had exquisitely flavored chicken, pork and lamb slices, savory fried catfish, boiled mussels in a white wine reduction, spanakopita, potato fries all centered around a refreshing tzatziki dip. The dessert was a mixed berry pasta pie with a side of homemade yogurt.
Everything was homemade and excellently crafted and each serving was colorfully described by the chef/owner who explains in detail what you are being served both in English and Japanese.
Every detail was meticulously orchestrated; this place has a passion for food.

Read moreFinally had a chance to try this place! Although owner was super busy, she took a few moments to answer our questions! We had reservations for 3 and our friend was ill and couldn’t come so we are going back for dinner soon! Incredible views, wonderful food and a relaxing meal. We were the only Americans today for lunch and it was fun to hear the owner speak Japanese to everyone explaining the wonderful food she and her staff prepared! We had no problems making reservations by phone though now I realize she is likely the only English speaking person AND she is making, serving and leading staff so she’s pretty busy when open! Hoping there is some kind of Brie for dinner next time but I’m sure we will all love whatever is prepared! Beautiful balcony to walk out on as well! ...
