I am stationed in Okinawa for a long while, and suddenly I desired Vietnamese cuisine. In my google search, I found this restaurant. I expected a small standalone restaurant, and that is exactly what I got. The thing is, its location threw me off completely. Its a home! In a neighborhood! I was confused. Did I go to the wrong place? Am I entering someone's home? Will someone call the japanese police on me for trespassing?
I saw the sign of the restaurant on the little window, and I was awe struck. I am at the right place. I awkwardly parked in the driveway and knocked on the door. A lovely madam came to the door and welcomed me when I said the name of her restaurant.
Its a lovely atmosphere, and though the menu is simple, it's a home cooked meal... literally! Haha. It was a wonderful experience. I ordered the pork sandwhich meal and it was quite delightful. The spicey sauce she made was quite good too! A lingering flavorful hear.

Read moreQuiet, quaint, and delicious Vietnamese food made with quality, very fresh ingredients near Rycom and Grand Mer Resort. Perfect place to dine solo or with a small intimate group of friends. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the experience. I am not used to Vietnamese food (and am not sure I’ve ever even had it before), but I still appreciated the blend of lemon grass, spice, pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs. The menu includes several box sets, and the owner speaks enough English to describe what each set includes. I had a wonderful chicken sandwich made with fresh bread, herbs, and pickled vegetables, a side of either a starch or bean paste (it was good, just not sure what it was), Vietnamese coffee, and a semi-sweet cinnamon-flavored desert. I would include pictures of the menu, but there was a sign saying photographs of the menu are prohibited. Overall a very pleasant experience with quick service, quality (healthy and delicious) food, and a friendly atmosphere....
Read moreThis was a wonderful experience. The owner/operator/chef was sweet and inviting. She prepared and served the meal. The eatery was very quant and gave a very intimate feel. The food was delicious! I had the fried tofu w/ pork cutlet, noodles & greens. The sauce was amazing! It was so flavorful and different from anything I’ve ever tried. I also had tea and a slice of cake for dessert. The flavors in both were delicate, not overwhelming but very distinct and delicious, which finished off my...
