This was such a memorable 10-course dining experience- the best meal we had while visiting Okinawa! The owner chef Tetsuya Kitagawa is a talented artist who crafted a beautiful and delicious meal that will leave you completely satisfied and happy, even though your waistline might be a little tight. :)
I'm not sure if he spends all day prepping the meal because there are so many details for every course, from the presentation of the capers on the appetizer, to the dessert plate of pistachio ice cream, passion fruit, and a scruptious cheesecake that he makes. He cooks everything masterfully on the grill (teppanyaki), and somehow, the timing is perfect - as soon as you finish one course, he's ready to plate the next.
The highlights of the meal for me: the wagyu beef sashimi just melts in your mouth - you won't want to swallow. The wagyu hamburger is so tasty, and even more so, if you add a little wasabi. The wagyu steak was scrumptious (you can choose other types of meat if you wish), and the dessert was such a lovely way to end the meal.
By the way, there is also a kids' menu... my picky 10 yr old daughter loved the wagyu hamburger with rice, egg, and bok choy, which is a testament of how tasty it was.
Because he's a one-man show, I recommend making reservations at least one day in advance. I was able to easily contact him through google maps chat, to make a reservation for 6, and he responded right away. He asks for your menu selection beforehand, likely so that he can get all the ingredients. Fortunately for us, it was just our family in the restaurant and essentially had a private dining experience.
We loved every course (even my 12 and 14 yr old kids) and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates not only awesome-tasting food but enjoys the experience of watching food being prepared by a master, then savoring each bite and wondering how he made it...
