Diamond Beach Cafe — Restaurant in Onna

This Cafe is just opening up and going through many trials of rude customers and just bad mannered people who are not customers but just decide they can use the parking for free while enjoying the beach or just going in to use the toilet and then leaving a mess. I have visited the establishment many times, and even though the owner and I do not see eye to eye, I have respect for him for starting his own business on our island and trying his best. It is difficult to be an outsider and earn the trust of the locals in such a small place or in any place for that matter. But he is there everyday, customers or no customers and tries his hardest. Asians are not friendly people when giving reviews unless they are friends of the owner. So when you see anybody giving a bad review look at where it is coming from and who. There are other mainland Japanese here that give reviews (bad) because they are competitors or just bored! Don't worry about the reviews, just come and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of beer and relax, the beach view is awesome and the owner is professionally nice, like I said, we may not be friends, but his place, you can trust to be comfortable , friendly and relaxing. Wunderschöne Lage und tolle Atmosphäre – Essen allerdings nicht günstig

Das Diamond Beach Café in Okinawa bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht direkt auf das Meer. Die Lage ist wirklich unschlagbar – nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt, kann man hier bei einem Getränk die Aussicht auf den türkisfarbenen Ozean genießen. Das Ambiente ist entspannt und modern, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Mischung aus Strandatmosphäre und stilvoller Einrichtung schafft eine sehr einladende und gemütliche Stimmung.

Für Kinder und Jugendliche gibt es Rubik's Cubes, mit denen sie sich beschäftigen können, während sie auf das Essen warten. Das ist eine nette Geste und sorgt dafür, dass die Wartezeit angenehm und kurzweilig bleibt.

Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend, und der Service war insgesamt schnell und gut. Die Speisen und Getränke haben ebenfalls überzeugt. Das Essen wird über eine Homepage bestellt, auf die man mit einem QR- Code gelangt.

Leider muss ich aber sagen, dass das Essen hier nicht gerade günstig ist. Für die tolle Lage und die Qualität zahlt man definitiv einen Aufpreis, und die Preise können für manche Gerichte recht hoch erscheinen. Wer also ein größeres Budget mitbringt, wird das Erlebnis wahrscheinlich mehr genießen können. Getränke wie Kakao und Café sind nur zur Hälfte aufgefüllt.

Das Diamond Beach Café ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, besonders wenn man auf der Suche nach einer traumhaften Location direkt am Meer ist. Die Atmosphäre und das Essen sind erstklassig, und die Rubik's Cubes für die jüngeren Gäste sind eine nette und durchdachte Ergänzung. Man sollte sich allerdings darauf einstellen, dass man für das Erlebnis etwas mehr bezahlt. We came here after a social media recommendion. The waffles were really great, and the coffee was good as well. The waffles were reasonably priced, BUT the coffee was the most expensive we’ve had throughout Japan. I’m talking almost twice the price of the Starbucks. Aside from that, the atmosphere is OK with decent view to the beach, but the place was surrounded with car shops and overall the street wasn’t very appealing.
