EDIT - After trying to come here several times you should know that despite being amazing food and a really cute place - this restaurant is open and closed very randomly. So even if it looks like it'll be open don't be surprised to find it closed on a usual busy Saturday evening. Very odd.

So if you're driving out from somewhere be prepared to be disappointed with cones across the entrance...

I feel like I'm giving 5 stars to everything I have in Okinawa - like this great place.

Honestly it really is all that good. I think we happen to go to the great places it's all! Which of course is wonderful.

This cute restaurant Cafe is worth the go to for anyone that specifically wants veggie or vegan meals.

Even if you don't have that diet and are an omnivore - you'll really enjoy it here as well.

Had the miso ramen and no soup ramen. Best ramen I've had. This isn't your uni dorm room ramen - this is real ramen! 🍜

Matcha latte and coffee latte on the side made it even better. ☕

There's ample room inside or a fair amount of room to sit on the deck. The deck has a large patio furnishings sofa that looked nice.

It sprinkled rain and there was a rainbow 🌈 when we...

The vegan and vegetarian friendly ramens are extremely delicious! The noodles have a perfect texture and chewiness to them. We absolutely loved the creamy tantanmen and the veggie tantanmen! The creamy tantanmen is more nutty and thicker while the veggie tantanmen has a smoky touch to it. Both have really complex flavors. We also tried the mapo tofu ramen, which had a rich aroma and softest melt in your mouth tofu, but was also excessively oily. The steamed edamame came hot and were a perfect snack. The enzyme special drink was Okinawan citrus which was refreshing and zesty. The teas were okay but the quantity of the teas is generous for a person. We did not like the pomegranate soda as much, but that’s a packaged drink and not house made. Google shows the restaurant is open till 10 pm, which it is, but the last order is 9 pm. They were also kind to accommodate us after their last order was already over since we called ahead and gave our order over the phone before 9 pm. Definitely try one of the tantanmens here!! We loved it so much we came for dinner twice here in a three day...

A Cozy Vegan Gem!

If you're looking for a cozy, cute, and delicious vegan spot to satisfy your ramen cravings, this hidden gem absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the warm and intimate vibe sets the stage for an unforgettable plant-based meal.

We started with the peppercorn edamame—perfectly seasoned with a satisfying bite that had us hooked from the first pod. For the main course, we sampled both the creamy tantanmen and veggie tantanmen. The creamy version was rich and comforting with a nutty depth, while the veggie bowl was bright, flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings.

To wash it down, we tried two different kombucha flavors—each crisp, refreshing, and a great complement to the bold ramen broths.

Bonus: the restaurant also features a small shop area with vegan ice creams, snacks, and specialty products for sale, making it easy to take a little plant-based joy home with you.

Whether you're vegan or just curious, this spot is...

My family has come here at least twenty times now and I’m ready to say that Gajimaru hands down deserves 5 stars. It doesn’t matter who’s working or what we order, the food is on point every single time. And I don’t just mean each person likes the dish that they ordered. This is the kind of place where you want to try the food of everyone else at the table and then keep eating it because it’s that good (get the ramen!). The service is wonderful, the ambience is lovely and the food is fantastic. I can’t wait to see what other menu items they come up with. Also doesn’t hurt that it’s got a great coffee shop as well. We will definitely keep coming back! (Note that the last orders go in about one hour before closing).
