Don Don — Restaurant in Osaka

I was in Osaka when I found Don Don House, and honestly, it was one of the best surprises of my trip. I had been trying to find a good place to eat — scrolling through Google Maps, choosing different options — but every time I arrived somewhere, I didn’t really like what I saw. Being from Europe, I wasn’t very used to the local food, and a lot of it just didn’t seem very appealing or tasty to me.

Luckily, after a few failed attempts, the third place I picked was Don Don House — and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were incredible, and the noodles were the best I’ve ever had in my life. Even though the place is small, the atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy.

I highly recommend everyone to come and eat here — the food is genuinely delicious. I spent about a month traveling around Japan, China, and Asia in general, and for me, this was hands down the best meal I had during...

Wow, just wow. The Yakisoba was hands down the best thing I've eaten on my trip to Japan. The noodles were so juicy, and flavorful. The beef was perfectly cooked, and seasoned plus the texture was just right (that is important to me.) The only issue I had was that I couldn't eat more! Unfortunately I will be leaving to go back home today. I also tried my brothers Osaka okonomiyaki. I found the parts of it delicious, but once I got a taste of the bonito flakes I didn't care for it too much. I'm not the biggest fan of sea food/fish products. All in all though this was a good experience with great food/staff plus they stay open...

DonDon was a very cosy mom-and-pop okonomiyaki restaurant. We were a table of 3 and ordered a full course, consisting of gyoza, 4 different types of okonomiyaki, yakisoba with egg on top, and a scoop of honeycomb ice-cream for dessert. Admittedly, it was a lot of food so we didn't end up finishing the main course, but it was incredibly tasty nonetheless. The chef's enthusiasm was contagious, and the waitress's warm hospitality was much appreciated. If you're looking for okonomiyaki, look no further. Would absolutely recommended if you're near...
