I recently visited a ramen shop in Konohana Ward, Osaka, easily identified by its bright yellow sign. The experience was one-of-a-kind, especially for a pork bone (Tonkotsu) ramen enthusiast like me.
Upon entering, I purchased my meal ticket from a vending machine – a convenient and quick process. I opted for their signature Tonkotsu ramen. The aroma of the pork bone broth was intense and inviting, though I can imagine it might be a bit overwhelming for some. For me, it was perfect, rich and full of depth.
The ramen itself was exceptional, with the broth having a robust flavor that was both comforting and satisfying. I also tried their fried rice (Chahan), which was a great complement to the meal. It was flavorful, and the addition of red pickled ginger as a topping added a nice zesty kick.
One of the highlights was the option to do a 'kaedama' – getting an extra serving of noodles for the remaining broth. This option made the meal even more enjoyable, allowing me to savor every last bit of the delicious soup.
Overall, the experience at this Tonkotsu ramen shop was fantastic. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for a hearty bowl of authentic Tonkotsu ramen, complete with the option of kaedama and a side of...
Read moreA vintage ramen joint with the aesthetic and flavors to match. We live just 5 minutes away and noticed it being packed during the late nights. A throwback establishment with a 90’s self serve ticketing system but the owner will also provide menu’s with English, Chinese or Korean. We ordered 2 staple pork ramen for 1000 yen each. The broth was rich and creamy but a little on the salty side. The noodles were tangy and nice. The owner seemed to really dig 60’s blues and jazz as it was marinating over the speakers. Quite an experience! 🎺🎷👐We will be back before we...
Read more(English below)

I had eaten at Umeda and enjoyed it, so I visited this restaurant as well. The interior of the restaurant is not modern, but more like an old-fashioned ramen shop. It is not a clean store, but I personally like the slightly slimy atmosphere. As in Umeda, the ramen is so easy to eat that it is hard to imagine from the thick looking pork bone broth. My wife also enjoyed it. It is subtle enough for a fashionable date, but if you want to eat good pork bone ramen, I highly recommend it. There are coin-operated parking lots around the restaurant. Thanks...
