We had arrived late to the hotel and needed dinner. Found this place nearby and had some of the best eel/unagi dinners. We had our own little dining space and used the call button when ready to order.

Decent unagi shop on the west side of Otsu. Eels are grilled after your order is placed. Their tare (unagi sauce) is on the light side. Slightly sweeter and less salty. Unagi is cooked well done and rather crispy on the skin side. Fair portion of rice for the hitsumabushi set.
